Police officers (from specific departments) are paid to see the stuff, barristers, judges and certain juries are expected to view it during certain cases, so I can't see the problem myself.

Then you have the Pete Townshend's of the world.

Yes, I was thinking of posting something similar actually but had second thoughts previously - he wasn't saying he wanted to see it to get perverted sexual kicks, just to assess what it was.

What we imagine kiddy porn is like and what it really is might be miles apart.

Ross has been getting a good kicking in the media from when he reported what some women had said to him. Was he supposed to be 'politically correct' and censor it ?

It is easy to be 'more holy than thou' and condemn anything which might be a controversial point of view.

He never mentioned about 'wanting' to watch it. He said "I think if someone came to me and said, 'Would you like to see what all the fuss is about?', I'm sorry, I probably would say yes."

The phrase he uses shows that he knows that some will probably be shocked by what he said - and obviously some are.

As a journalist, who felt he had to to watch the earlier versions of kiddy porn when he was doing Crimewatch, he must be at least a little curious as to how it has changed - and if it has got worse?

Of course it is possible that he loves kiddie porn and wants some more, but in that case he'd no doubt just quietly download some for 'research purposes'. :)
