I'd have to say that Joyeux Noel was one of the worst films I've seen in a very long time, despite it's noble intentions.

Don't bother, pick up a copy of Malcolm Brown & Shirley Seaton's 'Christmas Truce' instead.

The Ninth Configuration is missing from the lists, as are many of the anime films from Japan detailing the horror of atomic war.

The original The Time Machine went also into quite some detail on how man can destroy the planet with nuclear arms, though HG Wells could never have seen the absolute destruction they could cause.
