It must be the Rolling Stones, who formed in 1962, but, even though there are two versions of the group, The Beach Boys have been around as long, possibly slightly longer. Coming in third would be The Who, who formed as The High Numbers in 1963 and changed their name the following year.

I thought possibly The Groundhogs as they were originally formed to back John Lee Hooker's tour in the early/mid 1960s.

The Searchers have been going on for close to 50 years now, albeit these days they only have one founder member-John McNally-and one almost original member-Frank Allen who replaced Tony Jackson in 1964-and they are currently headlining the Solid Silver 60s tour which is wending its way round the country.
