Live Aid - Cool site!!

This is a great site reviewing the BBC's broadcast of the day minute by minute. Click on yellow headings for sub-pages!!

Where were you on Live Aid Day? did you go? were you even alive? :)

I was 15 and it was the first weekend together with my first 'real' girlfriend, I was round her place, sat and watched the first three hours in her lounge with her parents. She wanted to go down the town mid-afternoon, I was not keen on missing the show but you have to do what they want when things start out, well you have to do what they want forever really.

I've never worked on those principles. Equality Rules!!! :thumb:

I didn't get to see some of Live Aid as I was gigging myself that night. Not at Wmbley sadly but at a RAF Camp, somewhere in Lincolnshire I think.

5 minutes later..... Just found my 1985 Diary... I was at RAF Coningsby on July 13th 1985

Which means I'll have been in in this building here ....

... just to the left of the centre entrance IIRC. I remember getting back home in time to watch the end of the US Live aid section

One the highlights for me was Patti labelle. Absolutely amazing rendition of Over The Rainbow.

And yeah Queen were awesome. Freddie Mercury was unbeatable really.
