Natasha Bedingfield has revealed that she wants to produce an old school UK garage album for Craig David to help revive the genre.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the singer admitted: "I love Craig, but I really liked his music when he was doing the UK garage thing back in the day.

"I was feeling sad thinking that the sound had gone for good, but I've been hearing it back on the radio again with the Bassline scene and I think he should use it again."

Bedingfield added that she would bring her brother Daniel, who scored a number one with garage track 'Gotta Get Thru This' in 2001, to help: "I'd definitely get Dan on board, he's pretty good at that dance thing."

David rose to fame performing vocals on the Artful Dodger track 'Rewind'.

Bedingfield is currently enjoying success in the US with her single 'Love Like This', a song that she "stole" from Mary J Blige.

"That song was written by Ryan Tedder who is finally enjoying success of his own with OneRepublic," said Natasha. "Mary J Blige really wanted it for her album but I stole it because I’m good friends with Ryan."

I loved Rewind. Great tune!!!!

I thought Crag David got a bit too corporate after that. I lost interest. He was better when he was raw and less polished

Craig David changed a lot in a very little amount of time. But some of his music was still good, just not as good as his original stuff. Not sure Natasha would be the best person to produce his music, but she has produced some fine tunes herself. I much prefer her brother though.

I love that too; I was listening to that the other day, in fact. *puts it on again*

I did think though that it was the best song he'd been involved with. I quite like some of Natasha Bedingfield's music (I love Unwritten) as well, so maybe they'll make a good collaboration? It will be interesting to see how it progresses!

Unwritten was one of her best songs, IMO. :)
