It is disappointing, but they're not comparing like for like. Back then it was more difficult to get music and in those terms more expensive. Now we have Facebook, ITunes etc...
What does it mean "I Gotta Feeling" is more popular than any Elvis song? Sales? Radio play? Elvis is still the most successful male solo artist of all time, ever. (20 UK Number Ones, including pothsomously).
That list doesnt mean Glee is better than Elvis. The fact we are comparing old with new shows just how important and huge Elvis, The Beatles etc are and were.
