That performance was certainly the Jewel in their crown as far as 'live' shows were concerned. :thumb:

Live Aid was weird for me, all the old guard (Queen, Led Zep, Who, et al) were feckin brilliant, the sound was excellent. The lesser mortals didn't impress me at all. Mind you, look at the line-up of those bands, top musos all the way. I taped all of the gig and have no idea where the tapes are. Oh well, a great event :)

My all time favourite Live -Aid Performance was Patti Labelle. She sang her fucking heart out, despite the mic not working for part of the set.

I had a gig at RAF Coningsby that day so missed much off it, but caught the American bit when I got home

Queen were brilliant that day (they always were natch!!) Freddie could really hold an audience!
Status Quo kicked the whole thing off with an excellent set.
I recently bought my husband the dvd and it was great to watch the whole thing all over again.
