Never been, never really fancied it.

Done Donnington Monsters of Rock a fair few times (Now the watered down Download festival)

DMOR only lasted a day (get there Friday, concert Saturday, come home Sunday) and that was long enough to queue for an hour for the privilege to take a dump in an overflowing, overheated chemical shithouse.

Festivals are great but there is only so much squalor i can take.

Never been to that or T in The Park even though T is only a few miles away. I love camping etc but it's just a bit TOO crowded for my liking and full of more idiotic folk than me!

Everytime I think of Glastonbury though mud is the first thing that comes to mind! T in the Park's like that although last year it was liek the desert it was so dry. You can hear the music from my house although not overly loud.

I'd still love to go one day. be a great photography venue. I doubt I'd have the energy to cope with more than an hour or two though

Bit underwhelmed with the bands this year, the Hyde Park gigs look a lot better.

I'd never go to a festival unless there's a hotel over the road. Shove communal anything where the sun don't shine :)

Lol :D

A mate of mine went to Download this year. His son camped for the few days while my mate decided to commute the 30 minute journey there and back every day rather than rough it.

TBH... I dont blame him.

Been to Knebworth, Reading....when it was a ROCK festival, Monsters of rock and High Voltage, Sonic Rock Solstice. Glastonbury has never appealed, although I wouldn't mind going to see some of the smaller stages and lesser known bands.

I wouldn't have minded going when I was younger, but the daft prices put me off.

I'm starting to specialised in weekend indoor festies with hotels in easy reach. Personally I don't particularly like the idea of being in a crowd 10s of thousands give me a thousand tops every time.

and they're doing an encore

Whiskey in the Jar does not need the Metallica treatment  I probably like 3 Metallica tracks from their entire career. They're OK but I wouldn't make much effort to see em. Megadeth are another one. Something missing, dunno what it is. They're good musos. Might be the vocals, don't come over as sincere?

I watched a bit of Metallica to confirm that I ain't no fan. Then turned over to Jake Bugg. He reminds me a bit of Jonny Winter - but also somebody else as well whose name I can't think of - and that is now bugging me (no pun intended). :)

Think I'll play the Blondie thing from yesterday.
