To give you an idea, this is the kind of ambient music I'm after:

Now, I can't buy that shite so I want a proper album, preferably recorded at lossless or very high bitrate quality. The music will be played through a HiFi system.

It's for a home project that I'm working on - a chillout room complete with a laser cosmos projector.

Awww Crumbs I was hoping you'd like to listen to Dexys Midnight Runners!! 'Come on Eileen' :(

I'd go with Phil's suggestion of Future Sound Of London, or maybe Harold Budd. Depends on your taste. There's loads more, so I'll try and suggest some more when I get a chance.

I need music for meditation. crumbs is trying out meditation. That's why the space theme is important. The music needs to convey travel on a celestial journey.

Posting complete spheres again Crumbs.b :thumb:

I would usually climb into my isolation tank and select the old school stuff - William Orbit productions, Hinterland or Tangerine Dream.

Later TD updates still trounce the noobs/compilation/mix/ DJ pretenders into a cocked hat.

For ambient/space compilations, Andrew Rader mixing Stelladrone (and others) is one worthy of a listen

Wots could make a bit of money by the beach with his cassette recorder :thumb:

Actually I had thought of adding both seashore noise, plus thunderstorm/rain on the roof recordings, but Crumbs did ask for space/planetary travel stuff.

I managed a 30 minute segment of Rader pt 5 tonight on my way home, and almost crashed the van on a kerb, so it's certainly not travelling music.

Try this, crumbs. From the double album "Zeit" by Tangerine Dream.

Best to turn out the lights.

Not really ambient though. Similar to Echoes, it takes one on a journey, I think Crumbs wants to fuck-off there by him/herself.
