I always land up getting a plug in for Phillip Jeays at some point.

There are too many songs to mention, but I'd say Terry's Dog, Mr Jeays and Arles probably covers the range fairly well. Enjoy.

Wow, that's a name I didn't think I'd hear again! I saw him about ten years ago, and he was amazing. It's never occurred to me to look for him on the internet. Probably because I'm old.

The song I most remember is The Man From Del Monte- had a nice Kurt Weill/Jacques Brel feel to it, which is always a good thing.

The Man From Del Monte does nicely sum up his savage view of other people's fame. He name drops Brel a few times in his songs as well. One of those weird artists you tend to come upon by mistake, he featured on an Irregular Records compilation. Just wish Cathy Tate would release someting in this country.
