Playing Elgar's Violin Concerto. I wonder if he's got it right yet? Tee hee. :):

"MUSIC: BBC Proms 2008
On: BBC 2 North West (2)
Date: Saturday 26th July 2008 (starting in 23 minutes)
Time: 18:45 to 20:30 (1 hour and 45 minutes long)

We celebrate violinist Nigel Kennedy's return to the BBC Proms after an absence of 21 years. As well as the work that first put him on the musical map - Elgar's Violin Concerto, described by Nigel as a 'monster' - he also performs his own compositions, with some of Poland's finest jazz musicians in the Nigel Kennedy Quintet. Paul Daniel conducts the BBC Concert Orchestra and the programme is presented by Charles Hazlewood and Suzy Klein.

His 1933 version of the concerto, recorded under the baton of Sir Edward, is probably still my favourite. Despite being rather over-romantic by today's standards.

I'm afraid I'm still not able to rank Kennedy amongst the top 100 for his interpretatio of the work. :)
