It Seems the religious fundamentalist section of Conservative America isn't ready for our Russell Brand yet.

He got his big break in the USA hosting the MTV Video awards last night, but it sees the humour didn't go down too well.

Some his comedy.....

Brand said the night marked the "launch of a very new Britney Spears era".

"Consider this the resurrection of Britney Spears," he said. "If there was a female Christ, it's Britney."

During his innuendo-laden opening monologue, Brand discussed the upcoming US presidential election.

"Some people, I think they're called racists, say America is not ready for a black president," he said.

"But I know America to be a forward-thinking country because otherwise why would you have let that retard and cowboy fella be president for eight years.

"We were very impressed. we thought it was nice of you to let him have a go, because, in England, he wouldn't be trusted with a pair of scissors."

Brand also got into trouble regarding a teenage Christian Pop Band who were promoting sexual suppression by all wearing those fundamentalist 'Promise rings' indicating they won't penetrate vaginas or ass before marriage.

Brand took the piss out of them ( as you would ) but he had to apologise.

Good old Russell!! but he's gotta learn... If you want to break America you gotta toe the political line.

He didn't really apologise at all. Nor did he need to. He was very funny and half of the audience loved him.

He has, by all accounts, impressed those who matter - the tv mogals. The man is made for America and he has in the space of one evening made himself famous and guaranteed a career in the US.
