Hi,

Don't know if this is the correct place to ask but I'm sure Smeggy will move it to where it should be.

Anyway...

For some strange reason, tonight, when I turned on the television, I found that some of the programmes on Multiplex 4 (off the Sandy Heath transmitter) are reporting a very low signal quality. None of the other multiplexes are doing this, any one got the same issue? What could this be down to?

Put your postcode in here to see if there is a transmitter fault - http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/

Thanks for the link; apparently there are no reported problems. How strange.

I wonder what's going on here, as all the other Freeview multiplexes seem to be coming in 100% strength and quality, its just Multiplex 4 thats the problem.

Sounds like reduced transmitter power on that multiplex, but of they're not reporting a fault I don't know

Nor do I - I'd better do a manual tune just to check things. :) After all I might be getting a bit of transmitter overlap...

Had a look earlier on today and fixed the problem with a manual retune - seemed like it picked up Waltham transmitter rather than Sandy Heath transmitter (since Multiplex 4 is on a lower frequency with Waltham, and it scanned by frequency rather than signal strength). Oh well, now Multiplex 4 is back to 100% strength and 100% quality :)
