I haven't been able to access my emails for days via the Microsoft Outlook platform and have only just accessed some via TalkTalk's site.

Here is the story:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/11/29 ... il_outage/

They are quick enough to bump their prices up due to their 'improved' service. Don't make me laugh! :stomp:

I'm not with talk talk but do you mean you can't get logged into Outlook to check emails cos when you do they want you to update your security settings only to find you go round in circles and can't? That's what happened to me so now just use my gmail email address.

Both Miss Smeggy and I have had that problem with Live.co.uk and hiotmail.co.uk email addresses. I don't really use email these days but miss smeggy still does

Same here. Usually if i've ordered something or sometimes my Mum emails.

Think I posted on here but in July I couldn't get into my @live account as it wanted me to update by sending me a code to a non existant email address (02 did away with their email service when they sold their broadband to sky hence the @live account). Well I tried and tried to change the email address to send the code to my Husband's email address as I didn't have another address but it wouldn't let me.

Demented I somehow managed to get them to text me a code about half an hour later and it worked, then it sayd "Thanks, we're not ready for you yet, we will ask you to update in 28 days" or something.

Sure enough 28 days later exact same thing. I eventually got into my security settings and changed my password in case it was a hacker but still no luck, then couldn't even get them to text a code. I found a security form thathad my name, location, DOB etc so nothing to change then when I scrolled down it asked me for "payment details".

I switched ot off and thought fuck it as I got a new phone for my birthday a couple of weeks before and had to set up gmail so used that email address after I reset the password as couldn't remember it. Fuckin bastards!

Still don't know if it was a hacker or genuine to this day but either way a pain

I can't get on they emails at all now as it still comes up for me to update so they can stick their email service up their arse as I couldn't find anywhere to report it or help.

Send a (polite) email to admin@live.co.uk . You should at least get a polite response back to tell you they are looking into it.

If no joy, send a snotty letter to legal@live.co.uk, make an imagebam.com copy of the text and copy the link of onto your twatter/facebook account.

Things should then start moving.

The spam problem from TalkTalk has got worse. I believe TalkTalk have no intention of resolving this issue. I expect it boils down to cash. If you don't believe me take a look at the many, many complaints on TalkTalk's own forum.

When my contract runs out I intend to swap provider.

TalkTalk has been down for hours last night and the other day . No doubt this is their new improved fast broadband service they are promoting heavily. The only reason I haven't switched to someone else is I can't afford to. Avoid like the plague.

Ah well. Maybe when your contract is up. There's usually some pretty good deals for new customers about, often with large amounts of cashback if you sign up through the likes of Quidco.
