They've all been hiking rental prices for years, while wholesale prices have been dropping. Broadband prices have been dropping though. Back in about 2002 I was paying £27.99 for 0.5Mb broadband, later upgrading to 1Mb for £34.99 :eek4: Now I'm paying £15 for 80Mb. Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

I rang virgin on thursday to see what deals they could offer. Snotty woman couldnt offer me what I want so gave my cancellation notice.

Had a call back today, offered me upgrades on tv and broadband (150mbps) for £45. Aded use of landline anytime of day too for £50. Thats roughly what ive been paying for 12 months for a much smaller deal.

Looked on the website and im basically getting what a new custimer gets. I coulve refused the deal and haggled a bit but im too bloody english :D

The cartel of three don't give a hoot about loyal custom since under the 'deals' they have already made a healthy profit well within the initial contract period.

You have to threaten to cancel. On Sky I got 60% off for 12 months and a £50 credit. At the moment some people are getting 75% off and £100 credit if they wait until everything gets switched off (post 31 days notice period). That's what I'll be going for when our current contract is up.

Same with my broadband. On BT Infinity 2 (76Mb) at £15/month.

You just have to be willing to walk.

He hacked Sky's security so that other cheap, freeloading scum could watch Sky for free, without a subscription. As much as I despise Sky, lots of ordinary people work for Sky on very low wages and pirates like this shitbag deprive those who work in the media, music and software industry of better wages.

Ahhh :thumb: I get it.. crafty creeping guy.. bet no HM Tax..so fuck him.
