Another one - unless I've totally missed it, is there a 'empty all PMs' button? It seems to be an awful lot of clicks to empty the inbox & sent box, I don't tidy up often cos it's such a fag!

You can certainly clear out a page of PMs easily. Just use the Mark All button at the bottom right of the page and then select Delete Marked and hit 'Go' in the function selector above.

I've been doing the mark all & delete marked, but then it asks me if I'm sure, and then you have to go back & do each page separately.....I was just thinking an 'empty all' button would be handy, it's probably just me cos the lappie is a bit tortuous to use sometimes.

Following from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=11781

http://www.smeggys.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=11781

A new forum feature and a forum tweak ...

1] Saving draft posts

You'll see a button called 'Save' in the posting page. You can use this to save drafts of posts, e.g when you want to finish them off later. when you revisit the thread you'll a 'Load' button. This allows you to load your saved post. You can save as many posts for each thread as you like. Drafts are managed in your UCP here ... ucp.php?i=main&mode=drafts

2] Main page - New posts listing

Lektroid requested that a link to the first post of a thread be available. Good point. Originally.... Red button Image linked to first unread post, White button Image linked to latest post, but the thread title also linked to the latest post. A duplication. I've tweaked it so that the thread title now links to the first post. Use the white button to link to the latest post.

This site now very slow to load stuff - for me anyway. Other sites fine.

Is this just a coincidence??

I think so. It's not too bad here, but sometimes a page takes a few seconds. Are all pages slower than normal?

Hi folks.

A note regarding the Politics Forum. As it's called 'Politics and Current affairs' then strictly speaking any 'news' has a place in there in there. but as politics is a major subject I kinda think that threads about 'bodies found at Beachy Head' and 'Hotel death father' should really be in General Discussion as Politics is a really a major subject in it's own right and perhaps shouldn't be diluted by these otehr news topics.

With that in mind I'm thinking of renaming the Politics and Current Affairs forum to just 'Politics'

What do you peeps think?

Could we have a politics forum and a separate current affairs forum for current news stories, worried they might get lost in GD.
