They're effective alright, we can hear hundreds of snails crashing off their twigs every evening and find them writhing around covered with flies every morning.
I'm picking them up by the bagfull because I'm worried the birds will eat them.
From now on if they want to destroy the garden I'm going to leave them to it

Do t blame you Bunny i never ever use anything, eggs shells round plants works ok! They (pellets) are harmful to pets as well.

They're meant to be pet-repellent and we no longer have the dog who used to dig up the borders - still, not happy and wish I hadn't done it - especially as I'm trying to create a wildlife haven. Stupid of me

I've used eggshells and grit in the past - nothing works. We're completely, if slowly, overrun with snails.

Let them eat rich, expensive, funny-shaped, yellow, eggy buns.

the time I grew tomatoes I had a slug and snmail problem. I suppose the best way is to build a mesh cover around the plants
