Ooh I was at the Three Sisters a couple of years ago. The smell IS amazing!

This year I'm off to stay with my brother and sister in law in Annecy, Haute Savoie in France. Tis gorgeous in winter (ski-ing) or summer (sun and water sports). They have a chalet on the lakeside and their own private pier...peace perfect peace! No accommodation costs and flights to Geneva are really cheap as well.

Where in Australia?

I am in Bondi - got a 4 year "holiday" here.

If you need any tips on places to go etc. Let me know.

For my holiday this year I am going to UK to see my mum :)

It's all in the advanced planning stages at the moment :thumb:

We could be in Sydney for Christmas and the New Year, I believe it gets rather hot. :beer1:

We could be flying on this little beauty :yippee:

The clock is ticking and it's only a matter of time before we have lift off..... :yippee:

At the moment though we are expecting a visit from one of our sons from down under who is presently on a world corporate tour......some folk have all the luck..... :cool1:

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever

I'm going camping in Wales - 5 adults, 7 kids and 4 large dogs!

I don't suppose that counts really?

I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to camping. I have insisted on a camp site with all mod cons - hot showers, clean toilets, somewhere to plug my hairdryer...

We are also planning to take a cool box full of wine to get us through the weekend :thumb:

I could tell you a story of another 'holiday' but think it probably best if I don't. It involved 3 adults, 5 kids, a 5 berth caravan and head lice!! :eek4:

You'll probably have a great time. All my holidays as a teenager were that type of camping holiday... sleeping under canvas, but with mod cons and entertainment at night too. I loved it! I've been to a caravan as an adult and it wasn't quite so much fun though....

but good company would make a difference! :thumb:

Yeah. A couple of mishaps like missing the boat and having to take the boat to Caen, followed by a 3 hour unplanned train to where we were supposed to be. Arriving in the build up to the International Celtic Harp Championship, bloody harpers on every street corner knocking out tunes, and then being caught up in the Bastille celebrations. ;)

Problem is, you feel like another holiday a week or two after getting home. Been on yours yet?
