I found it very interesting again this week. I'm not as knowledgeable about crime as wot you is Dolls, so you almost certainly knew the cases already.

You'll have to get that new TV and Tivo box so you can record stuff. :)

The first was the murder of Margretta Philbin in Bavaria which was solved by forensic scientist Georg Popp, partly by examining the mud on the suspects boots to prove where he had been.

Next was the Manhattan murder of Nancy Titterton, solved by a piece of rope which had been left under the body in the bath.

Then onto blood spatter with this case - http://samsheppardmurdercase.wikispaces ... h+evidence

Fingerprint's last, with the first UK trial using them as evidence of murder.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I seem to recall that you pay plenty to Virgin each month - but you don't seem to get very much for it. :confused:
give them a ring dolls and see if you can get some money off like what i did and told them i'd been a loyal customer for years and what offers do they do . i got netflix free for six months , also they upped my internet speed to the full whack and pay £73.00 all for the same package you have with the exception that i have TiVo :)
it might even be cheaper for you because i have an additional V+ box upstairs :thumb:
Yes, best way with these companies is to threaten to cancel. They soon find you a cheaper/better deal. Can't get Virgin where we live, so have Sky. I never pay full price. As soon as one deal ends I phone up and ask to cancel again, along comes another deal.
They rely on ripping off loyal customers. As soon as it looks like you're not going to be loyal they pull out the stops to keep you.
Looking at Virgin's website they do a package called the Big Kahuna. It's basically what you've got now, but has a bit faster internet 152Mb (you're on 100Mb). It comes with a 500GB Tivo box (so you can record). To new customers they are offering this at £32.99/month for 12 months, then £49/month. There's line rental to go on the top at £16.99.
So at the moment you're paying £75.38 for your TV, internet and line rental. If you get them to give you the Big Kahuna deal you'll be paying £49.98/month for 12 months and £65.99 thereafter. So a decent saving over what you're paying now and a box that will record and faster internet thrown into the deal.
http://store.virginmedia.com/big-bundle ... _bigkahuna
Also you're getting charged for paper billing, so tell them you just want online billing. Only £1.75/month I know, but better in your pocket than theirs.
Give them a ring Dolls and ask them to give you this deal. Give them the loyal customer spiel and tell them you want the same deal they are offering new customers.
Good luck.
Just watched it on my PVR. Yup, there was one of his cases concerning a hook-ended knife.
Amazing accelerant sniffing Gunner, fire investigation dog - detecting a fag butt which had had a couple of drops of petrol put onto it and burnt then hidden in a huge building. I know dogs have a much better sense of smell than us but that was astonishing to me. :)
Apparently a dog's smell is 20,000 times more sensitive than ours.
Often I'll have a can of tesco mackerel in sunflower oil for supper. I eat it out of the can with a fork and then tip the oil out of the can onto a small plate for them. They love it to bits. A huge treat. I've noticed that if I open the can in the kitchen and they are upstairs, even I open the can silently, within a split second of of opening it, they race downstairs having smelt the fish. Amazing. Led me to also wonder how fast a "smell" molecule travels through air
An experiment easily conducted with farts :D
