A bit late, but at least there might be an element of truth within, unlike that farce on before it, funded by the licence/taxpayers.

No surprise Russell Davies created such crap, it’s his vocation to promote sodomy to the masses at every opportunity.

I’m concerned it won’t be as per the original programme based on the statement below. I would have been around 15 at the time and might remember any differences to what was written, or in the nighttime news

Edited and updated with new information about a fresh 2017 police inquiry into the case, Tom Mangold finally presents his story about how powerful political forces tried to protect Thorpe. The programme features revealing interviews from 1979 with Norman Scott, chief prosecution witness Peter Bessell and the alleged hitman Andrew 'Gino' Newton.

Some of the old broadsheets from the 1970s are on microfiche at the bigger library some ten miles from here.

Regardless it does confirm UK politics has never been a place frequented by upstanding citizens looking out for the welfare of the nation.

Davies should be questioned over the title of his fictional drama on the whole sordid affair.

MSM Proapganda merchewnt Nick Ferrari on Norman Scott

from https://www.express.co.uk/comment/columnists/nick-ferrari/965805/house-of-commons-speaker-john-bercow-andrea-leadsom-comment

AS STORIES concerning disgraced Liberal leader Jeremy Thorpe are currently all the rage with BBC drama A Very British Scandal earning plaudits, it’s safe to say I imagine that few can match my tale.

The surprise guest at my 16th birthday party was none other than Norman Scott, the ex-lover whose murder Thorpe was alleged to have planned and ordered.

The reason was that my late father was an executive at a tabloid newspaper and had “bought him up” and decided to hide him away at the family home in Kent until the interview was published.

Scott was tremendous company, extremely witty and kept my parents, brothers and some of my school pals enchanted with his stories and glorious gossip – most of which I cannot repeat, even today. He’s also rather partial to birthday cake.

Clear Mr FerrariStein knows a lot of things the powers that be wouldn't like out in the open. perhaps that's why he has to toe the line?

His father would have been in a number of governmental little black books. Having somebody running a gutter press agency is very useful if you want to deflect publicity, smear or even rewrite history.

Indeed. I suspect many media types are kept in line by blackmail as are politicians. Edward Heath was allowed to bugger young boys and ritually kill them in return for doing the bidding of the powers that be.

A veritable bonanza for government sodomites.

Davies attempt to justify the difference between the book text and the bollocks wot he rote.

“We did kind of re-research everything,” Davies says. “The book had done an awful lot of research and had been published without John Preston being sued. At the BBC you have to re-prove everything, and go through that, and have two sources of evidence for everything.

“Also, at the same time, that’s all very well, it’s not a documentary – they get me in, I’ve got a good career as a writer, I have to say, ‘What am I being brought in for?’ And that’s to imagine what those people said. And why they said it.

“That’s an act of imagination, there’s no proof in that, and that’s what I’m actually good at. That’s what I write about in my career, the madness of men.”
