Terry is an author that really has passed me by. I would like to have a read of his stuff, but wouldn't know where to start.

Anybody out there willing to point me in the right direction as to the best book or series of books to read first.

I have heard of the discworld series but again, which is the first to be read? Looking forward to being guided in the right direction. :thumb:

The first two are 'The Colour of Magic' and 'Sourcery'.

Some of them are skippable, but those two are good.

Ive heard so much about him too

I tried to get on of my kids interested, but because its mum who's pushing it, its crap and boring and rubbish

maybe he'll forget it was my idea and eventually discover the books for himself.

I've read some, but I haven't enjoyed the discworld books at all for some reason - there are a few non - discworld ones which I've liked a lot (The Johnny Maxwell trilogy: Only you can save Mankind, Johnny & the Bomb, Johnny & the Dead). I like the way he writes, but for some reason the actual stories in Discworld don't do anything for me. *shrugs*

I only had 2 megs and a cga card. Was Gutted!!! looked like a good game as well. One of those pick up and use objects and find your way round the place typa game.

They were evil mate - you were lucky it didn't work.

In the end I resorted to trying to use objects randomly cos it made so little sense - and I've read the books.
