Great episode, Thanks to David Tennent for 5 years of Doctoring and to Russel T Davies for the work he's done bringing this fantastic show back to TV.

Good luck to Matt Smith and 11, and Steven Moffett and heres to many more years ahead (and behind) us of time travelling.

Take it from me, if you have something better to do, like hoovering the underlay, or listening to that cassette promising fluent Spanish in a week, go and do it.

I have to admit that I've never been able to see what all the fuss is about Doctor Who. I watched the first episode when I was about 12 and it was just about okay. Ridiculous plot, poor script, silly monsters and shaky sets.

I watched a few more over the following years, partly because he sometimes had attractive assistants but mainly because there was nothing else on. :)

Seen a few bits of episodes since the revival, nothing has changed much apart from the sets being fixed down better. :pp: :D

I just wonder what everyone sees in it that I don't. :):

For the departure of Tennant (possibly moreso for Mr Cribbins) I would have expected a storyline that gave him the chance to show something more than hamming. Problem is, it conveniently occurred at the same time as the Christmas cliffhanger, so RTD had complete control over the crayons.

But, back to the topic in hand, Peri :doggies:

Well there is sci-fi and sci-fi. I like some, I quite liked recent the Day of the Triffids thing.

As an act of great personal sacrifice I am currently watching the repeat of part two of Dr Who. It is terrible. Silly, silly, silly. Poor plot, too much pathos. So much ham coming from the screen that I could put two slices of bread around it and make a sandwich.

Not sci-fi, more sci-farce but without the laughs of Red Dwarf. But each to their own I suppose. :)
