Saw some of it and was quite impressed.. I bet seeing it from the audience was a surreal experience.

Nice to see an old legend still affectionately remembered though.

I was bored and decided to update my signature but i couldnt think of anything to put, so i decided to just put Bollocks!

Irritating the humorless since 1973

I've recorded it, however on the bits I have seen the hologram looked awful. The face you could see the join and was different colour and he looked much too small on stage.

That's what I was thinking, probably brilliant if you were in the theatre watching it live, but it just didn't seem authentic watching it on tele, where they can do funny tricks anyway.

Was it actually holographic in the theatre? or was it just a 2 dimensional projection of a computer animation

I didn't think real Holograms were actually possible yet?

The people who did it are called Musion and they have some process or other. I don't think it is a proper holographic thing with lasers - more some sort of trick. Supposed to be 3d ish. :)

If they'd broadcast it in 3D then I could comment, but they didn't and I can't. Would have pissed off all the people without 3D tv if they had. :)

The 'holography' sections looked kinda okay to me. Dunno how they do it though.

It looked like a regular computer graphic to me.... i.e wireframe, motion capture and skinning

Was down the local pub recently, the entertainment was doing Old McDonald's Farm and handing out cards with pictures of animals on them for the sounds. Quick as a flash the bar man roared out 'have you got a dragon?' when a particular lady was selected. Made me think of Dawson at the time.

Yes, agreed Wots. There is a difference between actually being racist/sexist and making a racist/sexist joke anyway imo.

i went off lenny henry , because he started telling anti - white jokes because . if a white man had told the same jokes about blacks there would have been uproar .
it wasn't the jokes that upset me it was the whole principal that pissed me off :stomp:
