I've watched them from eighties and cleesy in the 'last of the 1948 show' whic preceded python. Didn't miss hardly any. My late husband was a total python bloke. Mind you most blokes were then.(if you had a sense if humour) or sick sense ! :howl:

They showed a clip of 'Holy Grail' on the tele this morning, the lines were crisp and they all looked young and enthusiastic. They won't be able to recreate this. Sometimes you have to rest on your laurels.

paint your wagons and burn your banker, coz the twisted circus is coming to town and there ain't no safety net under the high wire.

I'm one of the world's biggest Python fans and watched the films and series from the very beginning but I fear this get together is a mistake. Swing is right they won't be able to recreate the magic.

It'll either be superb, or fall flat on it's arse. They won't be able to recreate the great sketches without Graham, but will be interesting to see what they do come up with.

Well it just goes to show that their humour goes on ,whether it lasts the time or gets stale nobody knows. Graham to me was the eptinome of Python.

You'd need to pay me a lot to attend. :)

I watched the things in the late 60s and there may have been about two mildly amusing sketches in each show. Quite a few friends thought they were hilarious.

They are getting a million each from these shows to top up their pension funds so good luck to em.

Maybe. :) Some friends I knew even bought the LP soundtracks of Monty Python - it was before VCRs of course. Then played them over and over and laughed themselves silly. Jeez, mainly slapstick type comedy without the visuals ? And over and over again.

Maybe the parrot sketch was slightly amusing at the time but I've heard excerpts from the fugging thing about 60 times since it was first broadcast - so why would I be amused again?

I can see why some music still sounds good after many repetitions but not poor jokes FFS. :D
