Not exactly a soap, but a soap like drama that was on 2 nights a week in the late 70s/early 80s about a group of student nurses. I do recall it being quite good and Rose Butchings, the bad girl character played by Kathy Apanowicz, annoying the Disgusted Tunbridge Wells fraternity by saying she liked pre marital sex. At its peak 13 million people watched it so it must have had the X Factor.

I used to love watching Angels! It was fascinating stuff, and almost made me want to be a nurse - but I went into the path labs instead, you don't have to work shifts there!

Be yourself - everyone else is already taken.

I remember Angels too. It was really good and I'm sure must have inspired a lot of young women to want to be nurses. I seem to remember it was considered a little risqué at the time?

hello, Whirliegig, I never knew there was an annual for it, so if you have one it could be worth a fair bit on EBAY as rare seventies annuals are becoming collector's items. As for the show itself, well acted, great characterisations and a very seventies theme tune. I liked it in its day.

Actually I did check the value of the 1977 Angels annual on EBAY and sad to say they only go for £ 5. It's probably because the show isn't a cult item .

I dont actually have the annual..i just found it in google images when I was looking for a pic of the series.

( I once bought a Pelham Puppets book for 20p and sold it on ebay for £20. that was very satisfying :thumb: )
