Please, just give £2 a month!!!!

We had the fashion for adverts hoovering the nation's gold up, now there's a billion ads pleading for us to give £2 a month. I guess fat middle management BMW drivers who work at these places need a top up for their expense accounts.

Please, just give £2 a month!!!!

I'm happy to buy stuff that I can use from our local charity shop. Besides if I signed a direct debit on my bank account it would probably suck the charity account dry in an instant.

To think, there are charities out there that ask for more than £2 per month. One charity I worked for asked for £5 - and this was before the recession.

The adverts go on forever and just when you think you're safely past it, they throw a shorter one at you in the same ad break. I'll be asking for £2 per month to help me pay for a new telly when I sling my bonsai tree through the screen in frustration. Also, I'd need a further £2 per month to buy a new bonsai.

I can't say that I'm shocked to hear this, LLC. People simply don't have the money they had to give to charity any more. And for the charities to ask for more money is just plain ungrateful - I'm of the opinion they should stop giving their directors such grossly inflated salaries and go back to grass roots.

I'm more concerned that Mr Gumble needs after-dinner servicing by one.

Bah, I think giving money to charity is noble, but it should help poor people who need it (eg for the Pakistani floods) and not go to rich people (eg the dictators in Africa who have palaces and cars FFS) Or administrators.

Please, just give £2 a month!!!!

actually wotsit, you're not on your own about charity beginning at home.

pakistan should defer it's nuclear programme and sort out it's feeble infrastructure.

FFS they have monsoons almost every year and they know that the indus floods--deal with THAT first.

Please, just give £2 a month!!!!
