I hate those 'Plans' for over 50s'. 'Plan' - FFS sounds like the final solution or something.

I love the way they all skirt around the subject of death. I remember the hideous woman who did the first ASDA 'PLan' advert almost whispered when she hurriedly mentioned her funeral and then beamed when talking of some money to help the grandkids.

"It'll pay out a lump sum to help pay for my funeral, ORRRRRRR BE OF SOME HELP TO MY GRAND KIDS!!!"

And there's hundreds of them now. Even the Post Office has got in on it.

Usually there's nothing on offer which would encourage me to take out plans for all those dreadful things which are just waiting to happen to me. Until I saw the meercat dolls.
I WANT one :stomp:

Being at a more mature stage in my life, :) I investigated these policies a year or two ago. All I can say is that, in my opinion, they are as mis-sold as the payment protection plan for loans which the banks sold, and which have now been banned. They should be investigated by whichever quango is responsible.
As for the free Parky pen, they know what they can do with that - oh, and by the way here's a refill as well!

As for pensions, do what I do. Save up any money you have and stick it under your mattress. It's a lot safer there than in any of these pension schemes.

Nah, I wish Thatcher, Blair and Cameron to live to an truly extreme age without youth. Where they will live surrounded by toadies who completely despise them and they know about it.

It's not a nice fate, but considering their actions - I think they deserve it.
